Promotion Martha Graham
2024-2026
Ysé Sorel lives and works (mainly) in Paris, but she also travels in all shapes and forms; movement gives her the energy to displace frontiers. More simply, she writes and makes films. After studying philosophy and performing arts, she turned to film and made two self-produced films: in 2018, a feature-length docudrama set in Greece, *Nostos Algos* (FIFIB, Contrebandes competition; Prix Jeunes Talents at the Entrevues Festival in Belfort), and in 2021 *La Chambre double*, a medium-length drama with Louise Chevillotte and Pia Lagrange (post-production support from the CNC; Arte Kino 2023 selection). *Homo Sacer*, co-produced with Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains and *La Luna*, completed in 2023, is her first short film production. Her texts have been published in magazines such as *Habitante*, *Marge(s)*, *Trafic*, *Mouvement*, *:arts publics:*, *Polygone*, and *AOC*.
