Jade Jouvin

Born in 1999 in Argenteuil (France)

Jade Jouvin is a French visual artist born in 1999. A recent graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Dijon and trained in cartooning at the MOME in Budapest, she is developing a cross-disciplinary practice, blending performance, film and drawing. For her, life is a spectacle in itself: her family, her primary inspiration; the performance she puts on and makes others put on; the traces of collective culture; her drawings, which require physical concentration akin to performance. Jade Jouvin is working on an audiovisual project about time: getting members of her family to play their own roles in order to re-enact the family story. For example, the short film *ROMY quatre jours* made in 2024. This year, it’s a virtual reality animated film based on her use of coloured pencil on paper.
